It's been so long since we've seen you in person... How are you? Hope everything has been going (relatively) okay for you and your loved ones.
As we anticipate the reopening of our studio doors, we have made some important updates and changes in order to keep everyone's safety at the top of our priorities. We are closely following guidelines and announcements by the Canadian Government. While we do not have a definitive reopen date as of now, we'd like to let you in on some updates we'll be implementing as a sign of care and confidence:
To minimize exposure and number of people coming into the studio, all Open Class students MUST PRE-REGISTER online before coming into the studio for class. Since our class sizes have to be reduced, we apologize in advance if you don't get in the class you want - sign up earlier next time!
Prior to arriving at VYbE, every person is expected to fill us in on their current health status. This online form must be filled in every day a student plans to come to the studio. Click here for the form - check frequently as the link may change.
Questions will ask about exhibiting any flu-like symptoms (coughing, shortness of breath, fever) or is otherwise feeling unwell, and if they have had close contact with someone in the past 14 days who has been diagnosed with, or is presumed to have, COVID-19.
When entering the premises, everyone will be asked whether they consent to having their temperatures tested. If they refuse to be tested, he or she will not be admitted to the premises, on the basis that their attendance could jeopardize the health and safety of others. with temperatures at or above 38˚C (100.4˚F), or who answer “yes” to any of the screening questions, should be advised to return home, self-isolate, and seek professional help. Please note thermal testing results may be affected by environmental variables and is not 100% accurate. As well, test results will not be recorded, and will be conducted safely and respectfully.
Until further notice, face masks/covers will be required upon arrival at the premises. The Government of Canada recommends a cover with at least 2 layers of fabric. If you do not have one, you can purchase one in our online store here or at the studio.
We encourage all payments are processed ahead of time so you don't need to worry about it upon arrival at VYbE. However, Contactless Payment Methods (Debit, Credit) will be available while you are at the studio. Until further notice, cash will NOT be accepted.
Until further notice, friends and family will not be able to wait in the front area in order to limit the number of people at any given time to 4, including our front desk assistant. Please take off outdoor shoes as soon as you enter, and put your shoes on in the studio.
We will have indications for students on the studio floor for general social distancing guidelines of being 6 feet apart.
Class sizes in Studio A will be limited to 7 people including the instructor.
Class sizes in Studio B will be limited to 13 people including the instructor.
Based on the recommendation of the Canadian Government, alcohol-based (at least 60% alcohol) hand sanitizers will be available in all rooms of the facility. Please note that hand sanitizers are not as effective as proper hand washing, so we encourage you to wash your hands. As well, excessive use of sanitizers (especially children) may cause adverse effects. We are not responsible for improper use of hand sanitizers
In addition to routine cleaning, frequently touched surfaces (such as doorknobs, washrooms, cubbies, front desk, etc) will be cleaned and disinfected before, during, and after the day’s sessions.
We are super eager to open our studio doors again for you! In the meantime, please continue to stay active with our online resources (Live Zoom Open Classes and Youtube Tutorials) and before you know it, we'll be dancing together in no time.
